HMI International Back-up Camera (Patent
Pending) Vehicle Rear Vision Protective System:
State-of-the-art camera and brake light assembly that "sees"
areas at the rear of your vehicle that would normally be
blocked from the driver's view.
This is an incredible, wide angle, color, night vision camera
that is integrated into the third brake light assembly,
creating a new system with unique advantages. The purpose of
the camera is to feed a video signal to a monitor located
within easy view of the driver. The driver is given an
immediate clear visual view of most blind spot areas
directly to the rear of the vehicle. These areas are not
visible to the driver using the vehicle's normal rear view
mirror and side view mirrors.
The camera automatically goes on when the vehicle is placed
in reverse gear.
Location is the advantage of combining the upper brake light
and the monitor. The location of the upper brake light is
near the highest part of your car, allowing a larger field
of vision. The camera is designed to increase the field of
vision as the distance increases.
During nighttime use,
the location of this camera provides two distinct
advantages:
1) When backing up at
night, the vehicle's back-up lights provide enough light to
allow the camera's night vision to create daylight.
2) The unique location not only assists in blocking headlight
glare, but uses the trailing vehicles light to illuminate
the camera's field of vision. The effect of this increases
viewable area during nighttime use.
Easy installation is another distinct advantage of this
system: The camera is designed for specific vehicles,
allowing ease of installation. Simply remove the existing
factory brake light and replace it with the Clip-On Rear
Vision Camera. The camera/brake light assembly (BSE) uses
the existing body cut out (NAV-03) access pathway to allow
the wiring harness to transfer from the outside of the
vehicle to the inside without altering the vehicle.
